Pecan Honey and Apple Cake

This slice of comfort is the perfect treat for an evening cup of tea with some great company or even if you’re by yourself,the ideal companion while cuddling with your favorite read….

Maple syrup pairs really well with pecan nuts but today I have swapped it to Finch bees honey and it was still really moist and the texture was just right !!!

The smell of baking with cinnamon in my kitchen made everything feel like October and during this month I look forward to warm pies, pumpkin spice and all things nice ???

Let’s Get Started

You Will Need

Dry Ingredients :

  • 3 Cups All Purpose Flour
  • 3 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon Powder
  • 3/4 Cup Brown Sugar

1/2 tsp Vanilla Powder but if you’re using liquid 1 tsp vanilla extract

Wet Ingredients :

  • 1 Cup Whole Milk
  • 1/4 Cup Virgin Coconut Oil
  • 1/2 Cup Bees Honey
  • 2 Eggs
  • One Cup Chopped Pecan Nuts
  • 2 Cups Grated Apples

Cinnamon Sugar : Mix 1 tsp Cinnamon Powder and 2 tbsp Powdered Sugar

Step One : Mix dry ingredients in one bowl.

Step Two : Mix wet ingredients in one bowl.

Step Three : Mix wet and dry ingredients together.

Step Four : Add in apples and pecan nuts and mix till well combined.

Step Five : Transfer to an 8” lined baking tray.

Step Six : Sprinkle Cinnamon Sugar on top.

Decorate the top with more Pecans along the edges, if you prefer.

Step Seven : Bake in a preheated oven at 180’ for 30-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Let this cool down before serving.

I have also tried same recipe using a bundt pan and it turned out absolutely amazing…
